Who can take AP exams in India
A few schools in India offer AP courses and exams but test only their own students. Authorized AP test centres are open to any eligible student. You are eligible if you are one of these:
- Students actively enrolled in secondary school.
- Secondary school students who are homeschooled, study independently or attend a virtual school.
- Enrolled students who are ready to take an AP exam before grade 9.
- Recent secondary school graduates who need a specific AP exam for university admission.
Authorized AP test centres in India
Pune: Kalyani School, Pune is the only centre listed for Pune. Kalyani School closes AP registration on 1 November 2026 and does not grant extensions (Kalyani School AP 2027 policy, checked 22 October 2026). Mumbai: Prometric Mumbai (near Ghatkopar), Witty International School in Borivali and Ryan Global School in Andheri West. Centres from last year that are not listed below are no longer running AP exams.
What to do this week
- Choose a centre and open its instructions. Use the table below. Each centre decides which exams it offers and whether it runs late testing, so confirm that your subjects are on its list before anything else.
- Register and pay with that centre. Follow the centre's own registration and payment instructions. Registration also asks you to join "exam only" sections in My AP, using the same College Board account as for the PSAT or SAT.
- Check your ID now. Centres in India ask for an original, valid passport. Without one, only the Aadhaar letter or the PVC card with hologram, both issued by UIDAI, is accepted. Students without the required ID are not allowed to test.
- Check for clashes and your device. Compare your subjects with the 2027 exam schedule. All AP exams are digital from 2027, and most centres expect students to bring their own approved device with the Bluebook app installed.
Check for exam clashes
You cannot take two exams scheduled at the same date and time. In 2027 these subjects we teach clash:
- Physics 1 and Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism are both on Wednesday 5 May 2027, Session 2.
- Physics 2 and World History: Modern are both on Thursday 6 May 2027, Session 1.
Decide which exam to take first and take the other in late testing, 17 to 21 May 2027, if your centre offers it. See the May 2027 AP exam dates for every subject.
Other AP testing rules

- You cannot retake an exam in the same year; you can retake it in a later year.
